like others i have correct outlet 15yrs experence but when i pluged it in the light came on ,but no responce welder didnt work?

ive been a master electrican for 7yrs and 15yrs experence
this welder is defective. I never complain and quick to write a good review, but this thing is defective .I believe this was used
because the box looked deshevled and the directions dont show this welder has surge pertection or even a fuse thanks wish i had a working welder

For the price this welder works great i built a cord for about [...] and i welded a few beads about 6-8 inches long very impressed for the price

Locking plug

I have this welder but have not been able to use it because the plug it comes with is a locking (nema?) plug. The adapters are pricey. Will probably cut the plug off and replace it with a STANDARD 220 plug.
