Good welder, bad instructions.
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
Overall this is a very nice little welder. Plenty of power and features packed into a compact machine. The only complaint I have about it are the assembly instructions. They are only just barely in English. For example, in discussing which way the wire feed wheel must face: “If the wires of 0.8-0.9mm are to be use, the fire feed rotating drum shall be install in the overturn manner.” The diagrams are fairly well detailed but the identification numbers on these diagrams do not at all match the description. The installation of the torch refers to points 10-15 on the diagram, but only points 2-7 are displayed. The booklet also instructed me to install both the torch and the grounding clamp to the (+) side of the welder, which as an electrician didn’t make any sense to me. I did it anyway figuring they knew something I didn’t, but the welder didn’t operate until I “properly” placed the grounding clamp on the (-) side.
Overall I like the welder very much in the short time I have used it so far, but the instructions should have been proofread by someone who speaks, reads, and understands English. I got it working just fine, but be prepared for a bit of a challenge.
